MAINA · CEO AND FOUNDER
My name is Maina. I'm the guy behind Orderly.
Let me tell you a story about a notebook.
It wasn't the food. It was the book.
I managed my parents' restaurant. Honestly? Boring and exhausting. The most important thing in the room was a book: orders, debts and stock, written by hand every single day.
Count the cash. Match the M-Pesa. Check the stock. Again.
When everyone else went home, someone had to sit down with the book. It never added up the first time.
It can't think.
So we're taking the book a step further: better decisions, easier accounting and a better-run business.
Some pages were never in the book. The customers.
Most restaurants rent their customers from delivery apps, for a hefty commission. We give owners their customers back.
A book is a record. A restaurant needs a reader.
Someone to watch the business, read every page and manage it. Someone who never looks away and never forgets. So we built one.
Who is building Orderly
Supported by contract engineering and a growing agent network.
How we work
Orderly is built and supported from Kahawa Sukari, Kiambu. The team works directly with the restaurants using the product - onboarding is done in person or by phone, and every customer is set up by someone who understands the system. That closeness is deliberate: the most common failure in this category is software sold at a distance and never properly adopted.
Engineering capacity is extended through contractors, and commercial reach through the agent network, which keeps fixed costs low while distribution scales.
