Howdy!

  • Cafés live and die on the morning rush. Orderly keeps the queue moving, takes M-Pesa without anyone reading messages, and is simple enough that a new hire learns it in one shift.

Fast at the counter, simple to run

What a café actually needs

Cafés do not need the machinery a large restaurant needs. What they need is speed, low cost, and something that does not fall over when there are twelve people waiting and one person on the counter.

THE PROBLEMS THE PROBLEMS

The café-specific headaches

Small margins, high volume, thin staffing.

[01]

The morning queue

Every second at the till is a customer deciding whether to wait. Slow ordering costs you the busiest hour of your day.

Small orders, tight margins

On a KES 250 coffee there is no room for waste or mistakes, so portion and stock control matter more than people expect.

High staff turnover

Baristas come and go. Any system that takes a week to learn is a system that never gets used properly.

Regulars you cannot reach

Cafés run on repeat customers, but most owners have no way to contact the people who come in daily.

How Orderly suits a café

  • QR ordering at the table so seated customers order without joining the queue
  • One-tap favourites for your most-sold items
  • M-Pesa reconciled automatically - no reading SMS at closing
  • Runs on a tablet you may already own, so setup cost is close to nothing
  • Customer list you own, built from online orders
  • Learned in under an hour, which matters when staff change

Café questions

1

Packages are priced per branch, per month: Orderly Starter KES 3,500, Growth KES 7,000, Pro KES 15,000 and Enterprise KES 25,000. Most restaurants choose Growth, which includes online ordering and delivery.

2

Starter if you mainly want to get online with a proper till. Growth if you also want online ordering and delivery - this is the popular one. Pro for the complete toolkit including your own app and full inventory. Enterprise for multiple branches.

3

No. Global systems advertise a low monthly price then add card-processing fees on every transaction, so a plan listed cheaply can bill many times more once extras switch on. Orderly is a flat monthly fee per branch with no cut of your sales.

4

No. Your customers pay a small service fee of KES 1 to 10 per order, and delivery fees go straight to the rider. Your food revenue stays yours.

5

No. There are no multi-year terms and no early-termination penalties, which is a common complaint about international systems. Pay monthly, or pay annually and get two months free.

6

Yes, at any time. Most restaurants start on Starter or Growth and move up as they add online ordering, delivery or more branches.
